Miracle Workers: Supporters of Washington Parks & People

Washington Parks & People has received numerous honors, including the National Partnership Leadership Award for America’s best park partnership, the Helping Hands Award from the National Congress for Community Economic Development, the Legacy Award from the Committee of 100 on the Federal City, the Kodak American Greenways Award from the Conservation Fund, and commendations from the National Park Service, the US Park Police, and the President of the United States. Parks & People works closely with dozens of partner organizations, and is a member of the DC Workforce Development Collaborative, the DC Environmental Network, the DC Environmental Education Consortium, Cultural Tourism DC, the Coalition for Community Investment, the Cool Capital Challenge, the No Child Left Inside Coalition, the City Parks Alliance, the National Recreation and Park Association, the Alliance for Community Trees, the Nonprofit Centers Network, and Parks for Life: the International Urban Parks and Green Space Alliance. In addition, Washington Parks & People has just been re-selected by the 2009-10 Catalogue for Philanthropy Greater Washington as one of the region's best and most effective charities.

Parks & People is grateful for the strong support of our work by a wide range of individuals, communities, partners, foundations, businesses, and agencies. We could not have had the impact that we have had over the past two decades without these generous financial supporters.
